The July edition of the WordPress Ahmedabad Meetup took place on Saturday, 1 August 2026, after being postponed due to heavy rainfall.
Around 40 community members joined us for a morning of learning, conversations, and sharing ideas around WordPress.
WordPress Abilities and MCP
The meetup featured an insightful session by Deep Trivedi on WordPress Abilities and MCP (Model Context Protocol).
The session explored how WordPress Abilities and MCP can enhance WordPress development, streamline workflows, and open up new possibilities for developers.
It was a valuable opportunity for attendees to learn about these emerging technologies and understand how they can be used in the WordPress ecosystem.

Open Discussion
The second part of the meetup was an open community discussion around challenges, questions, ideas, and suggestions.
Attendees shared different ideas about how future meetups could be structured. Some suggested having two sessions — one technical and one non-technical — so the meetup can offer something for everyone.
Others suggested having one focused session followed by a group discussion around a specific topic. A focused discussion could be moderated around a particular subject, helping the conversation stay structured while giving more attendees an opportunity to participate and share their experiences.
These suggestions will help shape future WordPress Ahmedabad Meetups and make the sessions more engaging and useful for the community.
